District Partnerships

Within the eastern area there are four District Childcare Partnerships (DCP’s) coterminous with Trust boundaries. Although each District Partnership is unique in structure and membership, they all endeavour to reflect the priorities, issues and good practice within the Early Years Sector in their respective locality.

Two members from each of the District Partnerships attend the Area Partnership. This link between the District Partnerships and the Area Partnership ensures openness between the strategic and operational levels of the Partnership’s structure.

The DCPs contribute to the progression of the Action Plan within the three year Childcare Plan, ensuring the objectives of the Partnership are met. Additionally, the DCPs each develop a locally reflective Action Plan prioritising areas for development as identified by members and constituents.
