The Eastern Childcare Partnership provides information about childcare and family support services in the Eastern Health and Social Services Board (EHSSB) area of Northern Ireland. These services are captured under the generic term Early Years. The Partnership’s work in relation to Early Years development refers to children aged 0-14 years.

Within the Eastern area, there are 131,388 children aged 0-14 yrs*.

The Eastern Childcare Partnership has a responsibility to deliver key tasks and actions as identified within "Children First: The Northern Ireland Childcare Strategy". These tasks include the development of services including crèches, playgroups, day care facilities, after-school clubs, childminders and parent and toddler groups.
